Strengths: Vaughn has a nice body on him for an 18 year old kid, and should fill out more as he matures. When focused and locked in, he can be a solid man to man defender. He has a skill that translates to the NBA, he’s a shooter and can make tough, contested shots. He’s a very good spot up shooter with NBA range, he also does well running off of screens, setting his feet and knocking down shots. He has an idea of how to use his body to create space in order to get off shots. He’s a tough shot maker that’s really confident in his ability to shoot the ball. Only 18 years old, one of the youngest players in this year’s draft.
Weaknesses: Vaughn needs to work on his shot selection, he’s a black hole to be quite honest. He’ll take shots while double teamed, instead of passing the ball to an open teammate. He’s an average athlete , with average length, he struggled finishing at the rim on a consistent basis at the college level. Lacks consistent effort and focus defensively.
