#12 on the Big Board

Grade: Top 15-25 Pick

Strengths: Kaminsky is a big man that really shoots the ball well from outside, which could get him on the court early in his career. Playing at the 4-5, his shooting will force rim defenders and rebounders out of the paint. Kaminsky has very good footwork and moves in the post. The up and under and spin move are his too favorite moves to go to. He shows the ability to face up bigger players and take them off of the bounce. He sees the floor and passes it well from the high post. Well be a perfect pick and pop player because of his ability to shoot the ball. Could have an long career as a role playing reserve big.

Weaknesses: Kaminsky was a late bloomer during his college career, not seeing much playing time until his junior year. Even after four years of college ball, he is still a rail thin 230 lbs and will have serious issues holding his own in the paint in the post and on the boards offensively and defensively. Early on, finding a position that he can defend will be difficult, he lacks the foot speed to check face up 4’s and isn’t strong enough to defend in the post. Doesn’t have a high ceiling as a pro.
