Grade: Top 20-30 Pick
Strengths: Harrell is an undersized big from a height standpoint, but more then makes up for it with his 7’4 wingspan, athleticism, motor and toughness. He’s a great rebounder on both ends of the floor, a skill that I see translating to the NBA immediately. He runs the floor well, is strong, and tries to dunk everything at the rim. He’s a solid post defender who gives guys problems with his strength and length. He won’t be a star, but he will be an high energy, rebounding and defending role player. He reminds me of Bulls PF Taj Gibson.
Weaknesses: Harrell lacks a legit game with his back to the basket. He rushes, his footwork isn’t great and he lacks great touch on his shots around the basket. He needs to work on becoming a reliable jump shooter from 15-18 feet. He gets to the foul line at an high rate, but he only shoots 60% from the line.
